Hey everyone, I know it’s been a while since I last posted on this blog(a really long while) but well I had to just take time off because of the current situation in Nigeria(we all remember the #endSARS protests and what it’s turned to after the infamous Lekki Tollgate Massacre). To be honest my heart is still broken over everything going on which is why I had to go on another even longer Wattpad retreat to escape all the negatives.
Anyway, I’m back now and even better, I’ve been nominated for the Blogger Recognition Awards by Creative May, an acquaintance of mine whom I met on the streets of IG. Thank you so much dear for nominating me for this award, I am so grateful. If you want to check out her blog then you can do so by clicking on this link https://www.creativemay.com.ng.
Now let’s get on to the rules of this award shall we?
The Rules Of The Awards.

Alright let’s get this started….
How My Blog Started(Oh this is going to be a story ).
Well, to be honest I’ve always had the idea of starting a blog in my head for the longest of times but my mind was kinda leaning towards a fashion blog or even relationships. The real inspiration for this blog as it is now came from a crime series I love watching with my mom and sisters…Law And Order:Special Victims Unit. I can’t really pinpoint what it was about the series that made me want to start the blog but I know I made me start drafting my first 3 blog posts in my head as well as designing my site.
It was the series that inspired me to start a blog that just talks about what it’s like living life as a girl, a topic that I haven’t really seen around if I’m going to be honest. Anyway, here we are now,six months down the road with no regrets whatsoever, still waxing strong and still loving SVU.
Two Pieces of Advice For New Bloggers Out There.
Well, the first and most important piece of advice I can give anyone who’s just starting out in the blogosphere is this… Never Compromise Your Original Idea For Any Reason Whatsoever. I’m talking from experience here, trust me you don’t want to get yourself depressed because you’ve heard so many top bloggers out there tell you that your idea is whack and that you need to change it in order to succeed.
I’m just going to go ahead and say that’s total crap. Now I understand totally well that some ideas are more profitable than others because there’s a real defined market for them as well as obvious methods to monetize as well but that doesn’t mean your idea is total crap. On the contrary,it might just need a few innocent tweaks here and there and it could take off and do really well(however in some cases it might not and that’s where you need to compromise the idea, other than that, never).
Then the second piece of advice….Don’t be afraid of growth. Yes it’s scary when you find out that you have to start looking for new ways to do something for your blog because it’s outgrown the old way that you are so used to. Always keep an open mind and be ready to try out new things that will help keep the running of your blood smooth and stress free(well almost stress free). So don’t be afraid, just try it out and if it doesn’t suit you, then don’t bother with it again (be careful what you try though, some could actually ruin your blog).
Well, that’s it for now guys, see you later. Oh and let me just put this out there, The Toxicon series may or may not continue(it depends really because I’m not so sure about it again). Once again, I am so glad to have been nominated for The Blogger Recognition Awards and I hope for better blogging days up ahead. For now though, it’s au revoir….till next time
